BRANDONS BIOGRAPHY

While he considers himself more of an introvert than an extravert, Brandon Hargest, 18, is not shy when it comes to performing on stage with his fellow Jump5-ers (though he does admit to having a few nervous moments now and then). How could I be introverted with these guys? he laughs. Sometimes we are four crazy people, just insane! But when things do get a little out of control, Brandon is known as the calm, cool, laid back person who brings balance to the group. In his “spare” time, you might catch him playing a video game, sharpening his songwriting skills (he's been doing that a lot lately) or making movies on his computer. "I did a short film with my cousin this year and loved it. I think I might like to go to film school someday." Brandon also loves golfing with his Dad, who influenced Brandon’s love of 80s music. You should check out his iPod playlist!

At 18, Brandon Hargest may be the 'shy one' in Jump5, but he's certainly no wallflower. A performing artist from the time he could walk, Brandon has a hard time deciding which he loves more, the time he spends on stage or meeting the fans after the show. "I love hanging out with my family and friends, going to movies, playing laser tag...normal stuff. But performing and getting to meet the fans-it's so cool to make a difference in someone's life, so that makes me happy." Accelerate, the new album, marks the first time a member of Jump5 has a songwriting credit. Brandon co-wrote "All Because of You," and is pumped to get his first cut. "I've been writing a lot this year, and I've got much to learn, but it's a start!" Currently, when not on the road with Jump5, Brandon can probably be found in his garage, building a recording studio, and with a videogame definitely within arms reach. "One of my goals is to finish the studio in my garage, buy some equipment; to keep writing and start producing some music. Of course, college is another one...someday."
